Rescued!

I've been a little down the past few days.... kinda missing my stuff in storage and things like that. You know, you just miss your stuff after a while. It's kinda like having little pieces of yourself and your life tucked away and you don't know when you're gonna see them again.

So... Tim, being the sweet boyfriend that he is, volunteered to help me get some of my scrapbooking things out of storage (because scrapbooking = happy Olivia) and keep it at his apartment. We thought this would be quite a simple process. Rent a small 10-ft. U-Haul, go out to the storage unit, and bring the stuff back. We thought wrong. We didn't exactly plan the whole renting a truck thing. We thought, "Hey, it's a random Wednesday in Clemmons -- who's gonna be out renting bunches of trucks?" Evidently, everyone and their brother decided to rent a truck yesterday. Not a single one to be found in the Clemmons area, unless I wanted a 26-footer. Um, no thanks. So much for getting the table out of storage and having my own little scrap space.

Still, we got a few boxes that brought much happiness to my day. My scrapbooks, a few clothes, games and dvds, and other little things that I didn't realize I missed so much until I had them again.

Hooray for the little things in life.

Good things. (But not in a Martha Stewart way.)

*I now also have tickets to see Bon Jovi and Daughtry in March! I mean, can the month get any better? Seriously? (Yes, it probably could if I won the lottery or something but let's be real folks.)

*I am registered for my first massage therapy class next month. Very excited.

*Watching American Gladiators puts a whole new spin on Mondays. It makes me excited about Mondays! What else can do that?

*A boyfriend who's a chef. What's not to like?

*The LOST season premiere is just days away! I can't contain myself!

So many wonderful things lately! Thanks for letting me share with you. :)

"It's like a massage for your eyes!"

Mom's reaction to trying on polarized sunglasses yesterday at Lens Crafters.

Gotta love it.

Employee of the Month and other fun stuff

No, not the Dane Cook and Jessica Simpson movie. I'm talking about me! I am Utopia's Employee of the Month! (The first one EVER.) All of that living at work for the past month has paid off. They gave me $100 worth of products and of course I get bragging rights. (Not that I'm that kind of person or anything.) Woohoo. A fantastic way to start off my year.

Another fantastic way to start off your year?? Getting tickets to the Def Leppard concert in March! (With special guests Styx and REO Speedwagon.) Yes, I'm a lover of 80's music and especially Def Leppard. And I also just found out that Bon Jovi and Daughtry are going to be in concert together in March too! I can't take it! All of this wonderful live music in March. I won't be able to contain myself.

Pictures of the Season

Our newest addition to the family -- a little kitten named Mick (as in Mick Jagger). He's so soft and cute!

Our beautiful tree

Hangin' out with my friend Yolanda who was home for the Holidays instead of in Houston.

In Huntersville at Andrea's house with her and my BFF Shannon who is 6 months pregnant with a boy!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and whatever else I missed in the meantime.

Let me tell ya. It has been a GREAT couple of weeks. I have so many pictures to post it is ridiculous!

Here's the past few weeks in a nutshell:

I visited with some friends that I hadn't seen in almost a year. I am THE Guitar Hero (conquering the "easy" mode in just a few days). And I can bowl on the Wii like it's nobody's business! I actually remember my New Year's Eve this year (or I guess last year technically?) because I didn't get stupid drunk and I am taking things slowly and appreciating life more.

More to come later. Just wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Holidays and Cheers to 2008!
