Looks to Love: Backyard Bliss

Summer is here and that means sun, fun and backyard barbecue time. To celebrate the season in style, there is no better color palette to incorporate into your next backyard bash than this festive feast for the eyes. Bright pops of red, cooling, crisp shades of blue and turquoise topped of with a bold splash of sunshine yellow to liven things up! It works from the casual backyard get-together to a fun and funky beachside wedding and everything in-between!

Food Envy

Have you seen Celine's work before? It's hard to look away! Not only does her food look delicious but her photos are equally as delectable! The angles, the styling, the colors, the food! She seriously can do no wrong. Talk about serious food envy....

Re-Inspired.

I am officially in love with this macro lens. It has helped to push me creatively and re-inspired me in so many ways. You can see more here on the Facebook page and I will be taking many more photos this week and posting here on the blog as well. Feel free to follow along.

Hot Hue: Aqua

Cooling and crisp shades of aqua are the perfect versatile hue to incorporate into your summer styles. Softer greenish shades can evoke a soothing spa-like feeling where as bolder brighter blue shades add a vibrant eye catching pop! Other hot hues that make a perfect match with aqua are a warming cherry red, sleek silver, elegant peacock green or a rich and rustic terra cotta. I just can't get enough!

Visiting Chateau Laroche

I first learned about the Loveland Castle  (aka "Chateau Laroche") a few months ago when researching possible wedding locations in the Cincinnati area. Ever since landing upon the website, I've wanted to see it for myself in person. A few days ago, we finally went. If you are local to the Cincinnati area and you have never been, please set aside an hour or two of your weekend to go wander around the castle and grounds sometime. While it's not really a place for us to get married, admission is only $3 and it is a truly inspiring story with lots of photo opportunities.

Celebrating the 4th

"You  have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4,  not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White  House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where  kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from  happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism." ~Erma Bombeck
