Photography is one of my favorite hobbies in the world (and one day my full-time job)! Occasionally, I receive questions about the cameras and Photoshop techniques that I use. I thought it would be lots of fun to create a little post for you about my favorite cameras, some tips and tricks and lots of links.... but hopefully super helpful to my camera-shopping pals. Enjoy!
My current dslr camera is a Canon Rebel T2i with the lens kit
. This is what I have used to take most of the photos here on my blog since December 2010. It's a great beginner-level slr. The next upgrade I have planned is this beautiful camera
. (That'll probably be a few years.) Super excited about this camera
also! As for lenses, I have the lens that came with the camera as well as the Canon EF-S 55-250mm
which is great for landscape shots.
Before I got my dslr, I mainly used (and still occasionally use) a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28
and it is a little workhorse of a camera! It's great if you want a few more features than what your typical point and shoot can do. I really got to love it the past few years and finally felt that I needed more of a challenge and graduated myself to a dslr.Last, but not least, in my little digital camera bag is the Nikon Coolpix S3000
which is always in my purse for those "just in case" scenarios where I didn't remember to bring one of the other cameras. And, it's in a cute color!
I also have a little obsession with Polaroid photography. I just love the feeling it gives to the pictures it produces. And ever since they started making film again -- thanks to The Impossible Project -- it has become a lot more popular!
