A Full House Once Again

Our dogs are with us once again. Tim's parents got here Friday afternoon with some rather excited Bella and Layla dogs. We've been going non-stop since then having nothing but fun.
Pictures from the Newport Aquarium and other activities to be posted soon. (Probably after the guests leave and the dust settles.) :)

Etsy Shop Update

New stuff listed in my Etsy shop! I'm so excited to put some new photography on there. It needed a little oomph.

Here's a sneak peek:

I will list one new item every day this week. :) Keep a look out and tell me what you think. Also let me know if there are certain flowers or subjects you'd like to see on there.

Happy Tuesday!

Weekend Photos and a Wii

This little guy has been hanging out in our yard recently and Niko is lovin' it. We won't be seeing him after Bella and Layla get here Friday.

A little boiled shrimp and caprese salad for dinner. Ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

Colerain fireworks over near the high school. Pretty darn good.

And Tim gave in and bought a Wii this weekend. :) We only have two games so far (both are sports) but we enjoy the friendly competition.
Actually, I forgot, we have four games. We downloaded two more the other day: Pong Toss (read: Beer Pong game) and The Legend of Zelda.
Guess who bought those? I'll give you one guess.
As for me, I will keep on puttin' the resume out there and practice more photography.
Maybe today I will scrapbook about my Dad. It's a good day to remember him.

Happy Birthday, America!

I always love a good fireworks show. Makes me think of my Dad. :)

Have fun and be safe!

"You have reached your destination."

Toasting marshmallows in the backyard firepit.

The 50 lb. cactus we inherited with the house.

The living/dining room.

After an eight-hour drive (including a crazy one-hour detour in TN) and lots and lots of unpacking, hanging pictures, and rearranging, we have finally settled in to our new home in Cincinnati. Ahhhh.

And now the job hunt begins!

A little closure...

Dear Charlotte,

Tomorrow I am packing up and soon I will be leaving you to go to Cincinnati. I would like to thank you for all the great times I've had and the friends I made the short year that I lived here. Hopefully we will come back in a few months to visit.

Love,
Olivia

Less than two weeks

Until we move. I'm a little antsy. Slightly stressed, but excited at the same time.

So many things up in the air. Lots of new. New home. New job. New city.

Last week flew by because I was working so much. This week will probably be the same way just because there is so much to do to get ready. Mental preparations as well as the usual kind.

And then it'll be here before I know it.

If you see me in a state of panic, please remind me to exhale. :)

I've seen this quote before

but for some reason I really like it today.

"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

Happy Wednesday.

I think my Yahoo email is trying to tell me something...

Or maybe it's just coincidence. I am not sure.

As you know, we'll be moving into a new house soon. Well, it's a new, old house. We are thinking of replacing a few things -- like the entire kitchen -- since the house was built in the seventies. Lately I have been looking at websites, magazines, and whatever to research paint schemes, kitchen ideas, etc. to get some ideas of what I like.

Well, lately (like, everyday for the past week), everytime I have checked my email, the ad banner on the side has been either West Elm, Pottery Barn, or Target. (And, lots of Aveda, too -- but that's beside the point.) Now Target, I understand that. They're a major retailer -- not too surprised about seeing them with my email. But West Elm and Pottery Barn? Really?? I just don't think they'd advertise on Yahoo email. I'm just sayin'.

So is Yahoo reading my mind or what? Kiiiiinda scary.

In other news, I have been getting crafty lately. :) It excites me greatly. I haven't done this much crafting in a loooong time. I finished a painting this weekend. I'm taking two online art classes right now. One for altered canvases/collages and the other is for scrapbooking mini-albums. Love them both so far. I will show the results of said classes when I'm done. Maybe I'll give you a sneak peek if you're lucky. ;)

I have tomorrow off! Yay! Lots of organizing and cleaning to do. With all this arts and crafts lately, I have to do something about my supplies. Wish me luck.

Thank goodness the house we are buying is brick.

I had the day off today. It was actually pretty productive. I got up around 8:30ish. Had breakfast, did a little cleaning, vacuuming, etc. and then went to get a massage around 11:30. (I've been having some bad knee and hip/lower back issues. But that's a whole nother story.) After that I had my hair blown out and managed to escape the rain on the way home. (Whew.)

I continue Spring Cleaning Part Deux after I return home, when I hear all this loud noise outside. I think to myself, "Self, don't be alarmed. That is probably just thunder since we are supposed to have scattered showers today." (I have to tell myself to not be alarmed since it is just me and Niko right now and our neighborhood is a little sketchy at times.)

I hear this loud thunder three or more times as I'm cleaning. As I gradually move to that side of the house to clean, I realize it's not thunder. Hmm.... maybe the neighbor is working on something next door? I finally go outside to see what the heck is going on.

This is what I see when I look outside.

Guess who's getting a call tomorrow? Hopefully it won't be too windy tonight and it'll stay up there long enough for them to come out and fix it. At least we'll be done renting next month!
